Profile
Fraser Dickson is a partner at Weintraub Erskine Huang LLP. He handles complex commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on civil fraud, shareholder remedies, and investment disputes. Fraser counsels clients on professional liability (including Director & Officer exposure), contract, employment, environmental, defamation, and real estate disputes, and has experience helping clients both obtain and resist urgent relief, including Mareva and other injunctions. Fraser has argued in both English and French before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Ontario, the Ontario Small Claims Court, several administrative tribunals, and in private arbitration.
Prior to joining the firm, Fraser coordinated the pro bono duty counsel programs of a leading national firm, for which he was nominated for a 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Award. Fraser continues to volunteer as amicus counsel at the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Ontario's Commercial List, and the Ontario Small Claims Court, and as a judge at law school moot competitions.
In law school, Fraser won Canada’s national trial advocacy moot competition, the Sopinka Cup, and was awarded the prizes for Best Closing Argument and Best Direct Examination of a Witness.
Fraser received his LLB and BCL from McGill University’s Faculty of Law, where he was trained bilingually in both common and civil law. Fraser is a member of the Advocates Society and the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations.
