Profile

Fraser handles complex commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on civil fraud, shareholder remedies, and investment disputes. Fraser has helped clients obtain urgent relief, including a mareva injunction, and also counsels clients on professional liability (including Director & Officer exposure), employment, environmental, and real estate disputes. Fraser has argued before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Superior Court of Ontario, the Ontario Small Claims Court, several administrative tribunals, and in private arbitration.

Fraser was an associate at a leading national law firm and coordinated that firmís pro bono duty counsel programs, for which he was nominated for a 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Award. Fraser continues to volunteer as amicus counsel at both the Ontario Court of Appeal and Ontario Small Claims Court, and as a judge at law school moot competitions.

In law school, Fraser won Canadaís national trial advocacy moot competition, the Sopinka Cup, and was awarded the prizes for Best Closing Argument and Best Direct Examination of a Witness.

Fraser received his LLB and BCL from McGill Universityís Faculty of Law, where he was trained bilingually in both common and civil law. Fraser is a member of the Advocates Society and the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations.
