Ian is a litigation associate with a broad commercial practice including particular experience with class actions on both the plaintiff and defendant sides. He has experience in the Superior Court of Ontario, Provincial Offences Court, and Small Claims Court.

Previously, Ian articled at a large global firm, and practiced at a boutique focused on shareholder claims and fraud.

Ian is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School. While in law school, Ian worked at an advocacy group in Kingston, Jamaica focusing on policing policy. He also won top oralist in the North and Central American regional qualifiers for the International Criminal Court moot in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Prior to law school, Ian obtained a Masters of Global Affairs from the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs. His area of study was counterinsurgency policy, resulting in a research position at the NATO Defence College in Rome, Italy.

Ian is originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and enjoys telling people about the instances that his hometown has had a colder recorded temperature than the surface of Mars.
